Fix Unable to view hidden files and folders

As a result of viruses / Trojans blocked the activity of the hidden files. Folders can not have “Show hidden files and folders.” The selection and click Apply and OK, but no hidden files in Windows Explorer Windows. Change only disappear when the dialogue again. Or more or Folders from the Tools menu.

There are ways to restore once again shows the hidden files.

* Click Start -> Run.
* Type Regedit and click OK.
* In the left pane to navigate to the following key in expanding the + on the left side of each button on the left side:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Policies
Explorer

* In the right pane, right-click NoFolderOptions, select “Delete.” Ok lines.
* In the left pane to navigate to the following key in expanding the + on the left side of each button on the left side:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Policies
Microsoft
Internet Explorer
Restrictions

* In the right pane, right-click NoBrowserOptions, select “Delete.” Ok lines.
* In the left pane to navigate to the following key in expanding the + on the left side of each button on the left side:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Explorer
Advanced
Folder
Hidden
SHOWALL

* In the right pane, right-click CheckedValue, select Edit. This should be a DWORD. If it isn’t, you can delete the key. Create a new key called “CheckedValue” as a DWORD (hexadecimal) with a value of “1?.
* Restart your computer.
